| | Click to enlarge the photo | Once a popular place to retire, the Hibiscus Coast has experienced a building and population boom in recent years.
The region has 13 schools including the new Catholic primary school Stella Maris, and the new state secondary school, Whangaparaoa College, both opened in 2005. The Auckland Diocese hopes to open a Catholic secondary college in Silverdale in the future.
With more and more families joining the Parish, the Youth Committee is busy keeping up with demand. Leader of this committee is Therese Biggelaar (424 0732) who is responsible for liasing with the following groups.
"CCC" - Crazy Catholic Children 8-11 Years Group
Meet on the last Friday of the month, other than school holidays or public holidays. This group is held in the Parish Hall from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.

11-14 Years Group
meets on the last Friday of the month in the parish hall, other than school holidays or public holidays from 7.30pm-9.00pm.

Mainly Music
A music & movement group for pre-school children and their parents/caregivers. This is a ½ hour fun music session followed b morning tea, playtime and friendships. Meet on Wednesdays at 9.45am in the parish hall.

We invite all our Parish children and their friends to take part in these groups and foster good friendships. Our church notice boards inform you of events, camps etc. coming up for our youth.
