Hi there!
Welcome to the Comms (Communication) team.

Our Goal

Our goal is to help parishioners and the wider community to connect with one another so we may all grow in spirituality: to get to know the people, and experience all the great activities, parish life has to offer. We do this by making people and activities more visible, and by encouraging one and all to engage and interact in many different ways, as individuals, and in small and large groups.

Let’s enjoy life, and share our skills and our faith, for the benefit of all.

We are supported by, and in turn support the PPC in the planning and management of parish affairs. We are the umbrella that aims to bring all groups together, to encourage, enhance and support them.

Maria Sousa, IT and Database Manager
Maria moved to NZ from Portugal in 2019. She fell in love with Hibiscus Coast especially Tindalls Beach. Maria is the proud mom of two boys and a girl. The family enjoy participating in Parish activities. Maria is devoted to Our Lady of Fatima and is thankful for gifts presented in tough times. With an open heart, she believes that participating and contributing to the Parish life is her path to thank God. Maria joined the RCIA program, is a Youth Group team leader, helps manage the database and sings at St Francis monthly.
She has worked as an IT Technician for over 20 years and has expertise in publicity and marketing. She loves to travel, meet people from other cultures, cook and socialise with friends.

Mary Therese Caldwell - Team Leader Telephone Pastoral Ministry
Mary Therese is a part time relieving teacher. Based in Stanmore Bay, she attends St John’s and St Francis where she is a reader, and a greeter. She came to the Coast 7 years ago from Pt Chev.

Clive Goodman - Parish Pastoral Care Co-ordinator
Clive Goodman has been appointed to assist the parish, with coordinating and growing activities at St John’s and St Francis. He works closely with Father Raphael and the PPC to benefit our community and implement programs that align with the Diocesan and Parish vision and mission.
He liaises with the various groups; recruiting volunteers for sub-committees to foster growth and a greater sense of connection. His work touches all areas of parish life in both churches.

Theresa Fouche - Secretary and Administrator
Theresa’s work began in the Parish in 2002. She has served with various parish priests, seen changes and developments as the parish has grown and been privileged to journey alongside parishioners in their joys and sorrows. She emigrated from South Africa in 2001. Theresa has an adult son and daughter, and four grandchildren who keep her fit.
